Hello! I am Julie Borum, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida. I have served as a medical social worker in one of Polk County’s finest medical institutions for over nineteen years and for the past ten years on inpatient mental health units for adults and adolescents.
I have also served as a professional school counselor at a dual enrollment charter school for high school students pursuing college credits and I have been an independent educational consultant for seven years. I have assisted a diverse group of patients, clients, and students from many different religious and ethnic backgrounds and various academic achievement levels, including patients and students with medical and learning disabilities. I pride myself on being an advocate for patients, students, and clients and will always represent my client’s best interest with the utmost integrity and professionalism.
I work with ages 13 years old and older.

Sarah holds a master’s degree in professional counseling from Southeastern University in Lakeland, FL. She has experience working with adults and adolescents with co-occurring substance abuse and mental health disorders at the outpatient and IOP levels from TriCounty Human Services in Winter Haven, FL. Sarah has also special training in EFT, Gottman Method Relationship Therapy, FARS, and TBRI. Sarah has several years’ experience in an academic setting assisting Polk State’s Corporate College Professional Development and IT/Computer Institutes in providing training to incumbent and unemployed/underemployed individuals. Outside of her clinical and educational experience, Sarah enjoys being creative through web design, building computers, and painting.

Sandra Richards is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of Florida and brings 17 years of experience in the social work field. Sandra received her Bachelors of Social Work degree from the University of South Florida and her Masters of Social Work degree from Florida State University. Her experiences include working with the elderly population and their families with end of life challenges. Sandra has 12 years working at a local hospital as a Medical Social Worker and a Behavioral Health Specialist working with people with depression, anxiety, stress management, addictions and relationship challenges.

Hello, I’m Vanessa Stewart a registered Mental Health counselor intern in the state of Florida. With over seven years in the Behavioral health setting including inpatient Mental health and Addictions and outpatient group therapy, I have worked with adults and adolescents from various backgrounds, ethnicities, and belief systems addressing a variety of concerns that include depression, anxiety, grief, adjustment, and other life changes. I graduated with degrees from the University of the Cumberland’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling as well as Addictions Counseling. I am a current member of the Florida Counseling Association and child and adolescent division.

I believe we each possesses the tools to help navigate the stresses in life and hope to aide each client in this discovery by providing empathy, support, and guidance in a healing, non-judgmental environment geared toward achieving each client’s individual goals while maintaining autonomy and building a therapeutic alliance.
